Warning: This review will contain very small spoilersThis has to be one of my favorite Drake sister books and while I don’t usually enjoy any scientific discussion, it goes right over my head, it was just such a part of their characters that I love it.The cover is beautiful, the pace is steady and the plot is mysterious. I pretty much loved all things about this book, I felt such a strong connection to the characters and Tyson is right up there with Gregori from Dark Magic.I especially loved the fact that he didn’t just accept the magic like the other men, he actually tried to figure it out. The mystery is such a good one, a good list of suspects and the culprit at the end is such a twist, I remember how shocked I was when he was revealed. The romance is just so different here, I love it. When it gets started, it so…not awkward but just a little frustrating and cute. While he does love her, he does get so lost in his work and forgets but he’s so sweet about it and I love that Libby knows how he’s going to be and accepts him.Ty may think that he has no social skills but when he talks to Drew and Joley, the way he is with them gives lie to that but it’s what he believes. I really love this couple, I love everything about this book and I’m excited for Hannah’s book.

I am a fan of fantasy, especially when it deals with the practice of magic. In general, I am not a huge romance novel fan and Feehan's books clearly constitute the fantasy version of this genre. Still, I find myself resorting to her works more and more often to feed my fantasy adventure fix, despite the author's tendencies towards what borders on soft porn with her numerous, and extremely lengthy, sex scenes. Feehan certainly knows how to steam up your glasses, and her heroines all tend to be unrealistically beautiful. It certainly wouldn't hurt her to give one a wart, or make another a closet chocoholic with bad skin or a weight problem. Still, the magic is great, and this writer knows how to keep the action and adventure going. The Drake sisters series is one of my favorites, with each book telling the tale of a different sister. Not only are the seven women talented practitioners of the magical arts, but the sisters live in an animate, and sometimes man-eating house. I really want that house!

My favorite Feehan series, the rest, while In love the characters & stories get WAY TOO GRAPHIC on the sex scenes - I just skip ahead - they detract from a good story line. I’ve stopped reading her with these latest stories getting too ick...

I have fallen hard for the Drake series. I think it would be neat to see how these girls handle parenting and see how Elle's kids get into trouble...or maybe she will surprise us and not have any kids (Jackson doesn't seem like the "daddy" type). Anyways, I loved Libby in this book even though she is not one of my favorites of the sisters. It brought a new perspective to the good girl. I loved the character Tyson, but was a little surprised at how easy he was able to accept the magic. I thought for sure he would have a hard time with it being a science guy. I knew in the end he would open up to it, but I really thought he would feel betrayed with the new knowledge of "real" magic in the universe. Kind of like the whole bewitched movie, but he got his big head around the idea awfully fast. I was totally shocked by the bad guy though...didn't see that one coming at all. Awesome read. I am going to buy the next couple of ones.

I ordered this one as I had loaned my original out and could not remember who to. I have all of Christine Fehan's novels on the Drake Sisters as well as the Dark Series, and the Earth Bound etc........I have two of the Leopard series but just cannot get into them as much. I have learned to skip the several pages of graphic sex, unneeded really, in the Dark series...........sigh........

This is a mildly entertaining book as are most of Feehan's works. My main problem is that the editing department of Jove must have assumed that since she is a successful author that she knows how to spell. Carabineer (someone who carries a carbine rifle) used multiple times instead of Carabiner (D shaped safety ring) and Asmith which isn't even a word instead of azimuth. Those kinds of errors are inexcusable at this level and take away from enjoying the book. There were several contradictions at the beginning also. The ground rescue crew fails at a high angle cliff rescue, then the helicopter crew on the next page decides that would be unsafe for them to do when they wouldn't be doing a cliff rescue. Can you say cranking these out on autopilot?
