The Teach Yourself Visually line of books are just wonderful! There is so much to remember about Microsoft Office that it's almost impossible to remember. That's where this book comes in handy! The instructions are very clear and easy to follow, even if you have never used this program before. You start off with the basics and then it goes into great depth on each program, including Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, outlook, Publisher and One Note. If you need one go to book for any of these programs, this is the one to keep on you desk!

It was not what I was looking for. IF you need to learn Office from scratch, it would probably be a useful tool. I needed to learn the principle difference between an old version of Office and the 2013 version. It does not do a good job at that. I ended up returning the book.

I bought this book specifically for the instructions about Access as I have never used Access before. Your book is very helpful, but there are a few areas where I could have used more explanations. For example, I would have appreciated a little more information about how to go about the initial "Plan a Database" stage. Just helping me through the thought process would have been a plus. Also, it would help if right at the very beginning you explained about the ID (which is automatically generated) being the "connecter" from one table to another. I also would have appreciated having the information about creating a blank form (which is now under "TIPS" at the end of the Create a Form section) at the beginning. It would have helped me to realize that I should wait to create any form until all my tables were created. That way, the populated form would contain all the fields from all the tables.

Just exactly what I was looking for in a teaching book for someone "older" needing to learn new things. The layout is exceptional and moves along very well for someone who has never used Office 2013. For someone already knowing it, a good brush up but I think it might be too much of a beginner book.

I bought a new computer with Windows 8 & the new Office 2013 software. My old computer had XP & Office 2000. Needless to say things had changed considerably. I went to get the "Dummies" books for both the Windows 8 & Office but saw the "Teach Yourself Visually" & bought those. Far & away these are better books. Lots of pictures so you can relate to what's on your computer screen. The language in the books are for those of us who are not "techies". From now on the "Teach Yourself Visually" books will be what I purchase.

There is insufficient detail for those of us who've used OFFICE for a while. The book has the broad strokes, but lacks the attention to detail I'd need to make Office behave in ac accomodating way when it's being fractious.I'm not reading the whole book, so I can't be sure, but the subtle irritations of OFFICE fly under this book's radar.

If covers everything what you need, to pass on the NCCA Computer Skills Specialist Exam.I practiced the whole book in and out and i was good on the exam.I came across this book from some website and finally got it on amazon.Good one, if you are starting to prepare your self for the NCCA exam for computer specialist, you may want to look into this one.

I used this book as a guide for "Office 2013" classes to people totally unfamiliar with the software. All the steps were very clear and easy to follow. Certainly one of the best guides to understand in a very clear and guided way the new features Office 2013 has to offer. The iPad edition is excelent. Pictures are clear and the book is very easy to nagivate. Definitely Recommended.

There are so many versions of Office (2007, 2013, etc.) around these days, having a book on Excel, Word, and so on could result in a large library. So, I decided to go for one book entitled "Office". This seems to do the job, all in one package. This book uses lots of color, making it easy to follow. Cuts down on my library too.
